![]() ![]() ![]() That estimate is largely based off how much the player takes their time exploring and enjoying the game. I expect this game to take anywhere from 40 - 60 hrs for 100% completion. Saying it's short I think is a valid criticism these days. Not just considering more people are likely playing this for the story since it game from the books and movies, but just because everyone has their own style of playing. Saying people are "rushing" the game feels like a weird accusation as well. I upgraded my broom, rescued all monsters, did most side quests, completed about 50% of challenges, explored and even grinded a few character levels just to be stronger in the main storyline.ĭon't get me wrong, I enjoyed the hours I did play - but I was genuinely surprised when the main story ended. I completed the game at 28h game time (steam says <35h) and I genuinely took my time with the game. BOTW puzzles did not feel nearly as repetitive as the ones in Hogwarts Legacy did, these feel borderline Ubisoft grindy. I gotta disagree with the comments here - I don't think people are "rushing" through the game - the game is short for an open world game and the main storyline is short in comparison with the GOATs that we've grown accustomed to such as the Witcher 3 and Skyrim. We can also safely assume the game will have DCL, at least I would think. A lack of content isn't one of Hogwarts'. That's more than enough for a full price tag, and sure as hell not something one single person on this entire planet should complain about □♀️Įvery game has issues. Literally 1000s of game's main story are in thr 12-25 hour range. Cyberpunk's main campaign takes 20 hours. Not to mention the fact that it's just blatantly stupid to complain about the main story length not being long enough for the price. Being open world with action rpg elements doesn't actually mean it's molding itself off of those games. As far as I'm aware, it was NEVER meant to be the next elden ring or dragon age. ![]() Hogwarts is effectively a fan service game that let's players experience the Harry Potter universe in an open world setting. If you bought HL hoping it would be comparable to a game like DA:I or Elden Ring, you were being a fool. Just because it's an open world rpg, doesn't mean the entire point of the game will even be remotely similar. I find it absurdly ludicrous on a pretty epic level to even attempt to compare Hogwarts Legacy with games like Dragon Age. ![]()
